Say Hello, Wave Goodbye


Alas - my beautiful tiling!!

What a mad week! It's all happening and we have had to wave goodbye to our beloved kitchen. Many a good time was had in that kitchen and many happy memories will stay forever.






Cramped but exciting!

Here it is - our new (temporary) kitchen.
No time for nostalgia though as we are moving temporarily to the front room where bedsit conditions (minus the bed) now exist. It's amazing how much one can fit in such a small space. And later today (or possibly tomorrow) we'll have a kitchen sink, a washing machine and something to cook on! (Fridge is in the hall!)

Meanwhile - outside:  one of the steel beams is up and the roof coming along nicely.

    Holy macaroni!

    We've got IKEA units all over the sitting room in bits and an IKEA bookcase seems to have taken over my new sewing room.

    Thank goodness we still have cooking and washing facilities, unlike some people we know!

    What's happening in your place is life changing. I (Dad) expect to see it on Grand Designs very shortly!
